Description

This picture postcard 17th century thatched cottage nestles in the pretty village of Slapton, close to the sea. Imaginatively restored, it’s a little quirky, but practical, comfortable and welcoming.  There’s a delightful cottage kitchen and dining area with exposed beams and oak flooring from where steps lead up to a cosy sitting room. From the sitting room French windows open into a glazed rear sunroom with table and chairs.  Up the winding cottage stairs and you’ll find ‘The Cabin’ bedroom, where those who appreciate a nautical flavour will feel right at home! A landing bedroom with double bed leads to the master double bedroom.  There’s also a sunny rear raised patio.

The popular village boasts a couple of pubs, a village shop and it’s a pleasant walk down the lane to the Slapton Ley Nature reserve and Slapton beach.  Torcross village is at one end of Slapton Line and for those who love walking the South West Coastal Path provides some memorable walks. The nearby main coastal road provides easy access to historic Dartmouth and the bustling market town of Kingsbridge.
