3 The Moorings is a ground floor apartment delightfully located on the waterside in the market town of Kingsbridge in the South Hams.

Enjoying wonderful views both up and down the estuary and countryside beyond from most rooms, this contemporary apartment is perfect for couples, family or friends to enjoy at any time of the year.

The terrace is a tranquil area just yards from the estuary from where one can watch the passing boats or observe the abundant wildlife, dependent on the ever-changing tide.

The Moorings itself is an impressive development situated on the water’s edge of the beautiful Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary and occupies probably the best situation in Kingsbridge. Set in attractive, shared, landscaped and enclosed gardens alongside the estuary, with occasional seating providing an idyllic spot to appreciate the views. The wooded banks and meadows on the opposite side are a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Electric gates secure the entrance to The Moorings and there are designated parking spaces for each apartment and further visitor parking too.

The town, a short walk, approximately one third of a mile on the level along the embankment, has a wide range of interesting shops, restaurants, pubs, two major supermarkets and a fine leisure centre. Good sandy beaches within 5 miles.

Lounge/dining room with 2 sofas, Smart TV, table to seat up to 4, 2 further chairs situated to make the most of the stunning water views from the large picture windows. Glazed door to the patio and garden.
Kitchen/breakfast room with electric hob, electric oven, under-counter fridge with ice box, microwave, washing machine, and full-size dishwasher. 
Master bedroom with 5ft king-size bed, fitted wardrobe, and lovely estuary views. En-suite bathroom with bath and rainwater shower over (with additional hand-held shower attachment), basin, WC and heated towel rail. 
Bedroom two with 4ft6 double bed, fitted wardrobe and lovely estuary views.
Family shower room with large step-in shower cubicle with non slip surface (a small step up as seen in photos), basin, WC and heated towel rail. 

Outside:

Private patio area overlooking the estuary with table and chairs. Beautiful communal gardens surround the waterside development.

Access to the Estuary and Water Sports Equipment
There is a small slipway from the communal garden area directly to the estuary which guests are welcome to use.  Should you wish to bring water sports equipment (paddleboards/kayaks etc) with you, there is a gravel area at the far end of the garden, overlooking the estuary, with a chain attached to the wall where you can store equipment whilst you are staying at the apartment.

There are two Electric Vehicle (EV) charge points located in the visitor’s car parking area.

The EV charge points are supplied by Intelligent Charging Systems and are operated via a mobile phone App called 'Charge Assist'. The ‘Superfast’ 11kW, Mode 3 charge points with Type 2 sockets enable any EV to be fully charged within 4 hours. To this end, no vehicle should be parked in an EV space for more than 4 hours between 8am and 10pm or a maximum of 10 hours between 10pm and 8am. EV owners should provide their own cable with Type 2 plug. The current rate is 38.5p per kWh. Please note the rates are subject to change and are reviewed regularly.

  • Included: Bed linen, towels and a few beach towels provided, electric thermostatically controlled radiators.
  • Internet and Telephone: Wi-Fi. There is no landline telephone available and Mobile reception is generally fair but please check with your provider prior to booking.
  • Pets: Pets are not permitted at this property. 
  • Electric vehicles: There are two electric vehicle charging points located in the visitors parking area. See parking section for details. 
  • Short Breaks: Short breaks available in the low season, and in the mid and high season if available three weeks before. 
  • Local Facillities:  Nearest pub - The Crabshell Inn pub (250 yards) – more pubs, restaurants and cafes to choose from just a quarter of a mile level walk away. Nearest beach – many to choose from (5 miles). Nearest shop – varied selection around a quarter of a mile level walk away in Kingsbridge town centre. Nearest Supermarket – Tesco and Morrisons (both less than a mile away). Nearest Golf – Thurlestone Golf Club (5 miles).
