Brogenslade is a traditional detached Forest cottage offering spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to eight guests. Located in a rural spot overlooking open forest, free-roaming ponies, deer, cattle and even pigs during the pannage season, can be seen grazing right outside. With plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the tranquil setting, this ‘dark sky’ area affords plenty of night-time stargazing opportunities.
A large, comfortable lounge/diner overlooks the garden and patio area and has far-reaching views over Ibsley Common. There is a separate cosy snug with inglenook fireplace and log burning stove, perfect for chillier days, plus a well-equipped kitchen and large utility room. The cottage benefits from a downstairs double bedroom and accessible wet room. Steep cottage stairs lead upstairs, with three bedrooms, a family bathroom and a further shower room, offering practical accommodation for larger groups.
Furze Hill is one of many quaint hamlets and villages in this quieter area of the New Forest National Park. With quiet country lanes meandering alongside streams and village greens home to grazing New Forest ponies, visitors can enjoy the glorious walks, cycle routes and bridleways. Local pubs offer relaxed dining and are generally dog-friendly. Within a 10-minute drive is the picturesque town of Fordingbridge, with its medieval bridge spanning the River Avon, and a selection of shops, boutiques, pubs and café’s. Other local attractions include the New Forest Water park, Blashford Lakes for bird watching, Breamore House and the Dorset Heavy Horse Farm, plus the renowned beaches of the south coast beyond.
Please note: the cottage is located a short way up a lane which may be uneven and have potholes!
