The Winchcombe Way trail can be picked up from the doorstep and the route provides some spectacular views for walkers.

Brookside Lodge offers splendidly inviting spaces indoors, including an impressive entrance hall with log burner, beautiful drawing room with baby grand piano and open fire, and a cosy separate snug/tv room. The vaulted open-plan kitchen diner is made for entertaining, complete with five-oven Aga, Gaggengau steam oven, wood burning stove and huge farmhouse table.

There are five uniquely-styled bedrooms and bathrooms in the main house, including a ground floor bedroom and bathroom for those seeking ease of access.

Across the courtyard in the picture-book Brookside Cottage there are two further bedrooms, along with a kitchen, breakfast room and cosy living room with open fire.

The grounds and gardens at Brookside steal the show, with south-west facing lawns, rambling roses, lavender bushes and fruit trees. A traditional walled garden houses an immaculate outdoor heated pool (seasonal) and pool house, as well as a Cotswold-stone barbecue and covered dining area. A unique but really well-equipped gym is housed in the old stable block, offering boxing, reformer pilates, Pelaton and yoga. Beyond the gardens, there are 50 acres of countryside to explore, perfect for dog walks and picnics, just mind the resident cows and horses!
