Byre Cottage provides an ideal base for couples looking for a quiet getaway; the established neighbouring farm land provides habitat for red deer, hares and Exmoor ponies along with diverse flora and fauna. The historic market town of Dulverton is just over two miles away and is stocked with some of the finest local produce, independent stores, bakery, butchers and dining options from cafés, pubs and licensed restaurants.

Whether you would just like to sit, read and spend time taking in the stunning views Exmoor National Park offers, or wishing to walk, the cottage welcomes you, muddy boots and up to two well-behaved dogs. Byre Cottage ensures a getaway as unique and active as guests wish. Walk from the doorstep to Tarr Steps, arrange a horse ride across the open moor, Stand Up Paddleboard at Wimbleball Lake or head further afield to sandy beaches on the North Devon coast. After sunset, look up to see the amazing display of stars – Exmoor was the first National Park in Europe to be designated as a dark skies reserve.
