Description

Close to both the coast and village centre of Milford on Sea, Gorsehill Cottage is conveniently situated for your New Forest holiday, with lovely walks right from the front door through the woodland opposite. Recently renovated, the property comfortably accommodates up to four guests with two upstairs bedrooms.

Gorsehill Cottage has a modern, open plan kitchen/diner which provides a light and airy social space, ideal for entertaining or relaxing with friends and family. The well-equipped kitchen leads into a light-filled sunroom overlooking the enclosed pretty garden. There is also an inviting lounge with comfy sofas and a Smart TV, perfect to unwind in after a day’s exploring. The outside space includes a private courtyard back garden with a traditional BBQ and outdoor seating for al-fresco dining, plus a large secure pretty front garden  to catch the afternoon sun. There is also a downstairs WC. Upstairs are two good-sized modern bedrooms, a separate WC and a spacious, stylish bathroom with additional shower enclosure.

Milford on Sea is a quaint coastal village with an array of independent shops, cafes and pubs centred around the village green. With its own wine bar, micro-brewery and renowned restaurants, this vibrant spot has plenty to tempt you during your stay. The breath-taking cliff top walks with spectacular views, great beaches, seaside restaurants and thriving wildlife make this a perfect holiday base.

The New Forest National Park, with its free-roaming ponies, cattle and donkeys is just a short drive or cycle away, as is the Georgian market town of Lymington, for all your shopping and sailing needs. From here, you can also catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight for an exciting day out! Other local attractions include walks along the spit to Hurst Castle and the Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve which can be explored on foot or by bike along the Solent Way. There are also plenty of good spots for crabbing and water sports locally.

Please note: there is some internal building work taking place in the neighbouring property during 2023 - call us for further details.
