Description

Moonfleet Cottage is a comfortable holiday home full of character and charm in a peaceful location, yet within easy traveling distance of local amenities. Situated on a small private track and surrounded by gardens teeming with birds and other wildlife, the cottage offers a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Downstairs are two separate sitting rooms, one with a woodburning stove, for cosy out of season stays. The well-equipped kitchen boasts an Aga and has a useful utility room off, and there is a comfortable dining room overlooking the rear garden plus a large study/play room. Four upstairs bedrooms, two with en suite shower rooms, and a family bathroom complete the accommodation for up to eight guests.

The beautiful New Forest National Park is within a short walk, with miles of forest and heathland to explore - enjoy walking, cycling or horse riding amongst the free-roaming ponies, cattle and donkeys. The nearby Georgian market town of Lymington, with its bustling High Street, alleyways and courtyards, is home to a variety of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The ancient charter market lines the High Street every Saturday and is a must visit, with a wide selection of stalls and crafts. The cobbles at the bottom of the main street lead down to the Quay, where fishing boats still offload their daily catch, and is a great spot for crabbing and watching the world go by. The small ferry port takes you to Yarmouth on The Isle of Wight, just a 30 minute trip across The Solent, and the branch line allows rail access to Brockenhurst and beyond, enabling you to explore the beaches, towns and villages that this beautiful area of the south coast has to offer.
